Scope: Online shop as an additional sales channel for consumers

Implementation: Design and install an online shop based on the WordPress Woocommerce e-commerce site builder. Objective is to supplement traditional retail channels with an attractive online shop for end consumers. Includes all available titles with their biographical data. Books can be ordered as hard copy or downloaded as e-books.

Listings include detailed content summaries as well as sample pages, sometimes supplemented by pdf downloads or videos.

The order process is straight forward and easy to use. Several payment options include PayPal as well as major credit cards (Stripe).

Automatic order confirmation and invoice generation. E-book customers receive their download link automatically as soon as the system receives payment confirmation from PayPal or Stripe.

Result: The online shop has significantly extended the publishers sales options. Th system is both reliable and flexible. Order processing is fully automated for digital and semi-automated for hard copy books.
