Online Magazines based on TYPO3
Snapshot. Web development with Typo3
Client: Publisher
Scope: Development of B2C webzines
Implementation: TYPO3 is a very powerful content management system (CMS) for a broad variety of different types of webpages. It comes with a host of features and can be further customized with countless tools/plugins. The webzines for instance use a plugin that teasers news items chronologically on the front page and links the teasers to a landing page.
User needs and expectations guided the development of structure and design. Ease of use was the paramount criteria.
An important internal requirement was ease of use of the backend for external content contributors. A user management tool gives different users different rights and options.
Volume: More than 10,000 pages online across 7 independent special interest webzines
Result: A crash course quickly familiarized team members and external contributors with all relevant backend functionalities. The publisher’s webzines record constant growth both in content volume and visitors/subscribers, fueled significantly by attention to SEO aspects and the resulting high rankings.
